Just got one in synthetic, a 308. I am impressed with the quality and machining for something that cost me $305 shipped, for sure.

In fact I would be happy with it at $405 or more. The mag clips in well and holds. It feeds slick, the bore looks great, the stock is well done and has soft grip panels built in, and the trigger is pretty good. It's not perfect. The trigger could be a little less mushy, but that's about it.

Going to put some rounds thru it soon and let you guys know how it does.

It's basically a less- polished Tc venture.

Where did you get yours from? Since I already have a 260 Remington and a couple 308's I think I will wait til a bigger selection of cartridges surfaces.

Shot my buddies a few weeks ago in 308. Stock, fit and finish was damn good for the $400 even he paid for it. Points well, smooth action, beautiful stock and accurate. The trigger could use some lightening but was serviceable. It's not a lightweight. I'd like to see it in some calibers other than short action.

Your rifle is made by ATA in Turkey and its model is Turqua Generation 2.
Savage is selling them in North America as 334s.
I have two ATA Turquas in Walnut. Ours come with Fibre optic iron sights and 22" barrels.
Other than that they are identical. I have a 243 and 6.5 Creed.
They came with 3lb triggers. Easily adjustable. there are Allen screws in the trigger. I found no need to replace any springs. I could easily get less than 2lbs on mine. But I hunt at 3lbs so I put it back to that. Directions are simple.
I can say After puting 4 different brands and grains of bullets in both of mine.
Biggest 5 shot groups in either rifle was 1.25Moa. (4 brands of ammo)
Most groups were .45-.75Moa.
To be honest, they are my favorite bolt actions of which I have many.
Just a great rifle. Highly, highly recommended.
You won't find a budget rifle in Walnut anywhere close at the price.
