it’s a fun cartridge in a rifle. Lots of power and easy to reload. My favorite bullet is a 400 grain Hornady soft nose. Friend of mine shot a moose on the point of the right shoulder. We found the bullet under the hide on the left hindquarter. It weighed 395 grains and expanded to .800. Moose fell over rather quickly. I was involved in the beginning of that rifle, built the prototypes from my ideas. Asked Hornady to make ammunition but all they made was a great bullet! 41.5 grains of Lil gun will push it to 2000 fps at 48,000 psi. Another guy shot a mule deer buck going away. He was above the deer. At the shoot the deer did a forward somersault. Wish we had that on video. Enjoy it
Well, I shot a few 460 grainers, with SR4759, just moderate loads, I love the feel of the carbine length, then brought it in, and bore sighted a forward mounted scout scope. Loading up some H110 loads as per BHA data.
