I have two Auto-5 Sweet Sixteens. I'm looking for a value range. My thought is to sell both and move into one belgium made Sweet Sixteen in nicer condition.
One is a late 50's RK VR 28" ** with a pad to normal LOP. Used but not abused, I'd call it 80-85%.
The other is a late 80's Invector 26" which is intact and I'd call it 95%.
Anyone got a feel for the ranges on these? '

Bk those japs in nice shape bring 1500+ lnib 2000 +. The Belgian you have is better than any you can buy (**) is modified choke.there are mostly full choke guns out there and really tight fulls they are. In the mid 60's when shotshells were evolving to all plastic 1 piece wads Browning never backed off on their choke constriction so with newer ammo they were really tight. To tight, find some older ammo. Like federals before they used a shot cup for your first shot for a looser pattern. Guns don't stay pristine if you use them. Personally I would not go the path you are thinking about. Mb

Good thoughts I appreciate them a bunch. Since I got the Magnum Twenty, these haven't seen much field time although I do have a stock of flats of 16ga shells on hand.
I guess what I had in mind was to deal both of them off and move the funds into one nicer Belgium made gun. I can't shoot them all at the same time.
The 50's gun has killed alot of birds; the Invector gun has killed plenty but i only used it one season.

Bk- I don’t have an answer for you, but would be very interested to hear what the knowledgeable folks around here think about your question as I also have a late 50s Sweet 16 in the same configuration and condition. Hope some more folks chime in.

Recently saw 2 blonde wood stocked fixed choke Belgian made 16ga A-5s sell for $1800.00 the last few weeks. They both were in very good condition.
