1957 I I was drag racing an Olds powered 1932 Ford B street roadster that was really fun on the street. Sure loved those miles on the road. Recently I have been noticing some factory-built roadsters like the Mazda Miata. I'm wondering who else builds one priced under 50K.

Subaru BRZ comes to mind, but I believe it only comes with hardtop. My pick would be a Miata with the retractable hard top.

My folks had a Honda S2000 for a while. It was way cooler than a Miata. Of course they don’t make them anymore but nice used ones pop up occasionally.

I liked the s2000 too but a Miata is what we could get so that's what we have. Ours is an old one (a 90 ). They are not real fast, nor real comfortable, but they handle well and are fun. GD

The Toyota GR 86. 220+ HP and 3000 lb. It is pretty sporty with its Subaru boxer engine. Bit it is still a 2+2 and a hard top.
I loved the hell out of my 100 hp Celicas. This is the car they dreamed of being.

m After the Olds powered 32 Ford my other roadster was a 57 Thunderbird. It was a head-turner but not much for power or handling. Bought it in 60 and wrecked it in 62. Never owned a Vette.

50K ?
Miatas are cool, screw the labelers of it being a chick car. 50 will get ya the best with a third back.
Used late model Vette.
Nearly new Porsche Boxster. Older 9ll.

My wife thinks she would dig a roadster and is waiting for one from Tesla that might never deliver. Will likely be fun if it does, though $50k just reserves a place in line at this point.

B4Miata.. MGB stone axe simple to repair and keep going. Not that expensive either. 68-72 are the best years, avoid the rubber bumper models.
