Have a 629 with a 4-inch barrel, open carry is okay but too much for concealed especially with shorts.

G29 has been my constant companion for 20 years or so.

Carry it in a Fobus on the farm and in the woods. A VersaCarry when concealed. Easy-peasy. I'm 6"2" 255 lbs and I can make the gun disappear under a variety of clothing.

I run anything from 135 grain handloads at obscene velocity to factory Winchester 175 grain Silvertips. I don't want hit with ANY of them. My wife has run several mages through it.......as have two of her friends. It's lively. But not hateful, at all.

I chose the G29 because I wasn't aware of any other platform at that time that featured as much fight stopping capability in such a compact package. Not sure, yet, if there's anything else that compares.

Count me as one more fan of the 29 w/Pierce extension. It points so naturally that I was immediately most accurate with this than any other handgun, especially over my revolvers.
