They told my dad he had a 20% chance of having a fatal heart attack in his 59th year. Next year 40%, next 60%, 4th year 80%, and by the time he was 64 he would be dead 100% from a fatal heart attack. Lived to be 81.

i had a doctor appointment and one of the question i asked was when will i die. we sat down together and used a calculator to predict my demise. according to https://depts.washington.edu/shfm/app.php?width=1536&height=864in 5 years my probability of dying goes to 85% (which means 100%) , how about you and what am i supposed to do? I'd kick the schidt out of my doctor if he told me I'll live that long.

That way they can figure the age and risks to determine the actual age of death interestingly my ex-doctor referred me to a new doctor whose expertise is transplant. she told me i am too old for transplant. i am 70 , retired programmer and i feel fine , last weekend i hiked 4 miles to hunt quail and turkey , didn't get any.

I really can’t wrap my head around worrying about or living for anything more than today…and maybe tomorrow. If I do it right I’ll have a whole lot less stress and a whole lot more happiness than concerning myself with things that aren’t in my control.
So far today has been a good day. I met dad for coffee this morning at the local French bakery and spent a couple hours at my brother’s equipment yard catching up and chatting about our family. My wife and daughter went to a concert so the dogs and I are looking for a movie.
I’m having the dryer vent and duct cleaners coming tomorrow and then I’m setting up my flight back north where I’ll stay until just before Halloween. Each day is a great day and worrying about the future, the inevitable and the unknown is not how I’ll spend however much time I have. I will admit that I spend too much time worrying about fishing and whether the fish are in….
