New to me cz 550 Lux. in 06. It Has little more kick that my other 06s. Maybe I’m just spoiled by the limbsaver on the tikka and ruger m77. IDK.
Too bad limb saver doesn’t make any direct bolt on for the cz..
I’m Not interested in grind to fit. What are my other choices?
Thanks

All of them do something better than the 30-06, but none of them do everything as well.

My CZ Premium 550 30-06 has a Decelerator pad that looks like this. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1006515031?pid=778223 I bought the rifle used so I'm not sure if it was factory installed or not.The recoil is not bad at all.I had a CZ 550 UHR in the 300 Win Mag.That rifle had one like it too and the recoil was quite mild for a 300 Win Mag.I like the Limbsavers myself but this Decelerator pad is quite good too.I don't know how hard it's going to be to find a pad for the CZ 550,you may have to get a grind to fit pad for it.Maybe post in the Gunsmith section and see what they say.

If you can tolerate another 1/2” of LOP, Limbsaver makes a slip-on that may fit, depending on the size of your butt, pun intended. Very cushy.

I’ve used a couple to good effect on youth stocks and other stubby ones. They’re pretty easy on & off, unlike some others I used in the past.

Be careful that the one you select isn’t too thick if going over the stock one, although if you can easily remove the factory one without damage the thick ones may be fine as well.

What fresh Hell is this?

I actually have a slip on limbsaver, think it’s a medium.
I will try it out and see if it helps…. but hate that look. Worst case, I’ll just have to do grind to fit

I have a 550 Lux in 9.3x62 that seems to kick me harder than it should. That's shooting from the bench - I don't notice increased recoil otherwise. I always assumed it was the 'humpback' stock design.

This is surprising. My CZ .308 and 9.3x62 are both heavy and absorb a lot of recoil. The limbsaver took half the recoil out of my Tikka .270, but it still kicks as much as my 9.3x62.

Most of my rifles have limb saver.
I sold my sauer 9.3 because it kicked like a mule. I rather shoot the 300 win.
I can shoot couple boxes of hot 06 in my tikka with limb saver and zero issues.
Funny how some rifles kick so differently
