Optimus is their robot. Seems to be making progress, like autonomously sorting objects.

How long before it becomes a factory worker?
Fireman?
Soldier?
ATF door-kicker?

Or a roofer, concrete work, any manual labor that is routine. It's the future.

Battery technology has gotta be holding them back.

That’s about as real as an alien abduction and probing. Very few people have witnessed either event…

Well sure...

After the 1/10th of 1% kill off all of the lazy pesky whiny UAW workers... poors, mid class and wealthy pukes...

They are going to need robots to build their cars, fight their fires, kill the human slaves in hiding.

Duhh...

Ain't everybody here in the top 1/10th of 1%?

If you are not actively engaging EVERY enemy you encounter... you are allowing another to fight for you... and that is cowardice... plain and simple.

I see replacing ditch diggers and grave diggers with excavators as a very good thing.

I see replacing serfs and scythes with combines as a very good thing.

A robot running into a burning building and rescuing an immobilized elderly lady would be a very good thing.

As mentioned above, a robot roofer in Phoenix in July would be a good thing.

Deboning chickens!

But what about soldiers and like I said, FBI or ATF door kickers?

I, Robot?

We already have soldier robots, and alarmingly, we have them that power themselves by consuming meat.

You also see electric vehicles as a huge positive.

Biggest hoax besides Covid polices ever imposed on Americans by our Govt.

By itself, that video does not look that different that what others have done with robots. It's the visually oriented AI that is underlying what Optimus is doing that is the thing to watch. Tesla's approach to automated driving is a bit different than many of the others, particularly in the last year. Working much more heavily on machine learning and less on people programming the software. They've been spending billions on their "Dojo" super computing, designed specifically to tackle these AI problems. If they are successful, things are going to progress really fast in AI, machine learning and related technology.

When is Tesla going to start selling the goddam things? My house is dirty and I am tired of cooking. Do they make one with soft hands and girly bits?
