Nice piece there, Jorge. Like that barrel length.

What changes gonna do with that?

A 4" Colt 44. It's the short list here. Hopefully that grouping is several groups. Otherwise it looks like about a 5" group at 20 yards, and I'd expect much better. How are you liking it? Some say the sights suck.

Kensight has an Elliason in the works for the new Python, Anaconda, and King Cobra. It had been on hold for a couple of years.

The Wilson is nice, but a copy of the Elliason would be great.

Probably depends on how one is shooting. I’m assuming Jorge is shooting unsupported here.

That's fantastic, jorge.

Looking Great there Ed.

That is a sharp looking Colt for sure.

I have handled a few of the new production Colts and they are turning out some good revolvers.

The Wilson Combat rear sights are a dead ringer for the Elliason rear sight. Their Gold Dot front sight, while not the same as the original Colt's is a fine companion and very easily installed.

I have a 6" new Anaconda and it may be the most accurate .44 I've ever shot. Colt is making good stuff right now.

The groups were in six shot strings using my hand loads as previously mentioned. You can see the L-R/U/D progression as I adjusted the sights.

I just like the Elliason better, primarily cosmetic...it looks correct on a Colt.

The Wilson is every bit as good but the Kensight version is an identical copy with the elevaton and windage screws notched on the top for clicks just like the originals. The screws were staked on the Elliason's fitted to the Pythons which meant a trip to the factory to repair the internals, the Kensight's are not to my knowledge.

I hope that Kensight re-creates the Elliason front with the angled back.

How does the lockwork in an anaconda and python differ from Colt's king cobra series?

The sight picture on the Wilson is like that of the famed Bomar, a nice flat face. If I owned a new Colt it would wear a Wilson rear sight for that reason. A number of my Ruger SA's wear Bowen's rear sight for the same reason. For me it is all about sight picture.

I put that on my '69 E series, along w a patridge front.
HATE Elliason or Accro.
Always have.
And I'm talking 40 plus years.
