So I just got a text from the shop saying that the local supplimental insurance rep will be in next week. The one with the talking duck.

My experience with this guy was that when I did need the insurance and started using it I got warning by email that my policy was going to expire and this guy told me not to worry about it that since it was an active claim that it would not expire. It did expire and the checks stopped coming and when after being ghosted by the guy I finally was able to ask him about it and his response was " there is nothing I can do, since your policy is expired.

My payments were normally made through payroll deduction.

You'd have to have miserable rotten luck for that to pay off. I tried it for several years. It was wasted money.
