Does anyone have one in 25-06? What does it weigh exactly? How is your accuracy?

I have one of these that has been rebarrelled to 22-250 AI. It shoots way better than I can (sub MOA with preferred loads, with some groups coming in around .5 MOA). It has the old trigger, not the accutrigger, and still wears the factory stock.

Not a factory gun, but the same stock and action, and it shoots. Weight, maybe 7.5 lbs?

FWIW

tq

I don't think the tactical one comes in anything but 308 and 223...

The 308 that I shot was superbly accurate- out of 10 factory rifles at a training class, one was the 110FP and the others were Rem 700 PSS. The Savage was far more accurate than any of the other 9!!!

The Police Tactical comes in 7mm Mag also & it shoots itty bitty groups.

Pop, if you want to try one on for size I will have my brother's sometime this summer. He is getting transferred to Guam in Aug. & wants me to store his guns for him.

Wish I could find one...or, even one of the .25-06 FP barrels! I'd also like to find one of the 24" .30-06 FP barrels.

I got the 10FP in .308 instead. It's about 8lbs and shoots MOA or better (better than I can hold!). My rifle is one of the old ones with the flat rear bridge, non-accutrigger, and has the plain-jane stock everyone complains about. It does so well "stock" that I can't see changing anything! smile

That is a nice looking rifle and the price isn't too bad.

I have a Savage 110FP in 25-06 and love it although I have swapped out the trigger with a sharpshooter trigger and also the stock with one of there tactical stocks. I have VXIII mounted on it and have it zeroed for 200 yards. My wife uses most of the time when she hunts the winter wheat fields on the lease it will really reach out and touch and has little recoil due to the weight. Good thing to know on mine is it likes to be dirty once I clean it the accuracy is all over the place. Takes about 20 rounds before she dials back in. She one holes Winchester Ammo 110 grain Accubonds.

FWIW the guy with this auction lives in same town I do. He is really easy to deal with and just a small town gun dealer with good prices. Not a lot of them around anymore it seems.
