I'm curious about how these pills are "marketed" to US consumers. Is it all get stoned on these or is some of it online trucker caffeine uppers or get your "little blue pills" without being embarrassed?

In any case sounds like chemical warfare to me.

These are pills taken in drug busts by the DEA that the cartels are importing in to the US from Mexico. They buy from China, package them to export to the US. These are sent to drug dealers in the US who grind them down and mix them with whatever they sell. Some times they would be selling them as Oxy straight up I suppose.
