Iāve been close. Thereās a bombing range up there and you have to be really careful in that area.

Yes. I my last job I was able to visit and tour the JSA in 2019. Went into the blue buildings where they meet. Stood at a few of the guard posts and at the chains of the Bridge of No Return. Golfed at the most dangerous hole in the world the par 3 they have right along the DMZ wire, cool even though I donāt golf.
I went not to long after, I think a year or so, one for the NKs had ran over and defected and there was still bullet impact damage on our side in some of the stone and metal structures., he was wounded in the event.
My dad was in Korea in 50 and 51 with the 3rd ID as BAR gunner so was great experience.
Was odd as the NKs were taking pictures of our group the whole time and there were a ton of what I found out later were a Chinese tourists on their side on a balcony in their main building. They use the tour to generate income.
Spence
Ps. The guards on their side are huge for them. About as tall as me 6 ft. They hand pic them from all over the country as the average NK male is like 5-2 or something from decades of starvation

Had a fellow that was in the rocket bde at Casey. He would do the reenlistment contracts for the joes at the jsa. Said let him know go up a tour the joint. Then some [bleep] went down all tours etc were nixed. I was in a GSAB our unit send medvac up to Casey it was a red cycle tasking and they loved it because they were at Humphreys dealing with bull chit. They told me get back up here will take you on a ride by the border. Never did get back up there to do that either.
Then STFU. The rest of your statement is superflous bullshit with no real bearing on this discussion other than to massage your own ego. Suckin' on my titties like you wanted me.

I was there in 2004 when we closed down the western corridor camps and consolidated to Camp Casey and Camp Hovey.
I got to visit the Cheorwon valley. They actually have a fortified wall that spans that valley, with some out posts that go into the DMZ. We got to tour tunnel #2. There are still areas in that valley with minefields left from the Korean war. There are no organized tours in that area. We were guests of ROK Army senior NCOs for that visit.

We had 2 dumbazz fuugs in 1/506th my 2nd tour 95 96. Decided one weekend to go drink some beer and explore on the down low up by the Rok guard post 210 area IIRC south entrance road to the Z. Rode the bicycles up their. One blew off his left foot cause they didn't believe the mine signs were real.
