1935. My grandfather and his brother built it. My father did some work on the kitchen and bathroom in the 1960's for my grandmother and I did a lot of repair and refurb work on it before moving in in 1998.

1938. I bought it in 1999 from the widow of the man who built it. At the closing, she wished me "as much happiness as she and her family had enjoyed in it."

Built this one in 1977, moved in February 1978. Really too large now for just the two of us. But has three extra bedrooms to hoard stuff!

1904. It was sold in 1934 at county auction for one dollar. The current owner at the time bought it. My dad said that was common because nobody would bid against him. Wonder how that will go the next depression.

We bought it in 2000. It's been ours for about 10 years, leased from the government.

My house is almost 25 years old; my wife and I are the second owners; we've lived here for almost 20 years.
Home sweet home.

Having many friends with older homes got me thinking. A few years ago, I started a search for previous owners of my house. It was built in 1976 and a major addition in 1981. A free search was done at the county assessor's office, and I copied each warranty deed. I am the 5th owner and when I sell it, I will forward all to the next owner. Also wrote a history of everything I had done, when I had done it, and any pertinent information.
