Congrats! Your Knight would be illegal here in Idaho: sidelocks only, caps or flints, loose powder only, no scopes False. Sidelocks are not a requirement in ID. From the Idaho regs: • Equipped only with a flint, percussion cap or musket cap. 209 primers are prohibited. • Equipped with an ignition system in which any portion of the cap is exposed when the weapon is cocked and ready to fire. This is during muzzle loader season. Any ML can be used during a regular rifle season. Neither of those bullet points specify sidelock. If you look further down in the regs, they show an inline ML that is legal in ID. My old Knight Wolverine inline is legal in ID as it meets the bulleted requirements: it uses no. 11 caps and when cocked you can easily/clearly see the cap. Many ML companies offer a "Northwest" version. Just takes a small port to be able to have the cap "exposed when the weapon is cocked".

How was it called in?
What calls did you use?
Did it come from down wind?
How long did you call?
Thanks

Thanks We spotted the herd on another mountain from a couple miles away and were able to drive to within a mile of where we saw them. Once we reached the elevation we believed they were, we waited to hear a bugle which only took a few minutes. When we had an idea where they were, we worked our way closer and started calling. A good friend of mine was bugling about 70 yards downwind and the herd bull responded right away but never came closer. The bull I killed was a satellite and came in pretty quiet. He bedded down at 80 yards and allowed me plenty of time to get into a good position for a shot. We only called for 15 minutes before the bull showed up but waited almost an hour before I could take a shot.

Nice ML Bull, congrats. It's nice when a plan comes together. Good job on spotting them and getting close enough for a 80yd shot.
