I just got a lefty Hells Canyon Speed Mcmillian in 6.5 PRC delivered to me last week. This is in the shorter, lighter speed barrel profile, not the heavier LR model. Ovix camo.
These are 500 bucks off now. There are some long range models on sale also. Check GunBroker but look closely as some listers have their pictures messed up.
I know Brownings aren't everyone's choice but I love their bolt throw and safety position and can't hardly handle anything else now. ( Still have 3 A-bolts also.)
Great opportunity to get a Mcmillian stocked gun for well under 2 grand.

I've been a fan of Browning rifles for a long time. Have A-Bolts and X-Bolts.
There are 2 rules to success:
1. Never tell everything that you know.

Can you tell me the actual weight of the rifle?
Thanks

I’ve been eyeing these rifles and have been very tempted since they started selling for about $1,500. I’d also be curious what the actual weight is. How is the stock? Are there any things you don’t like about the rifle?

Can you swap out the "flat plate" muzzle brakes for the older style radial brakes that follow the barrel contour ?

I don't have a scale for an accurate weight. The gun comes with a barrel sized seamless radial brake.

Bringing this back to the top. Found out the 6.8 Western models are discounted even further. Saw them listed on GunBroker as low as $1,100. If that's your caliber, a hell of a deal for a McMillan stocked rifle.

Boathand, I couldn’t find the 6.8 on GunBroker either but found them here. They aren’t the Speed versions, but the Long Range. https://gun.deals/search/apachesolr_search/023614855644

Seems like a great buy. But I wonder if the 6.8 Western will exist in another 5 years. Think I'll holdout for a 6.5-300 Weatherby
My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

Great opportunity to get a Mcmillian stocked gun for well under 2 grand. I agree with you on the Browning rifles. Have numerous LH A bolts and have taken the majority of my game with them. Have switched over to Tikkas due to better aftermarket support, but would still buy Brownings without reservation when OEM configured how'd I'd like them. The McM models are on my radar.

How long are the actions are these rifles? If they are long enough, they could be a good candidate for rebarreling.
