At the moment I am fiddling with a twin trigger Mannlicher Anschutz 1518 22 Win Mag bought from a forum member. Absolute perfection in every way. Still undecided on optics, one incoming and two in the stash. I'll decide when the incoming arrives.

Oh wait.....we might actually take some time off this weekend. Y’all getting snow yet Jim? Seen on the news wire some places are starting to get the white stuff… Not yet. Might get a frost next few days though. When the first fall frost comes my brain rolls over and I go into Eskimo gathering mode. 36F last night here cuzzin', which is one degree colder than it was around July 4th. Weird year! Our corn is still making a little grain and given the 'rainy' weekend we haven't been swathing any alfalfa. Beautiful weather though this week, perfect temps and no bugs biting!

Saturday, breakfast with my dad and then working on his yard before it gets cold. Sunday is our opener but might sit it out. Supposed to be 80 degrees and way to hot for me to hunt, so might just finish up my own yardwork

A friend and I just got back from Appleton's Cruise-In, and tomorrow we're hitting Octoberfest. Sunday is a yard work day, and then maybe a walk on the Wiouwash trail.

Diggin on the brink of fall. Been going nuts finding a house to buy after selling ours in April. Finally closing on The One 10/16. 20 minutes from hunting camp. Tomorrow ride the Foreman up to some wild cherry I cut a year ago and bring it back to camp. Dry it burns well and smells great. Do some burgers on the grill for dinner along with potato fries, light the fire pit and watch the moon rise overhead. Then just watch the shadows across the Blue Ridge.
