Was in the neighborhood today and figured I’d swing in for one last nostalgic visit. Kinda sad, felt like the end of an era. I remember as a kid when the all the mounts and gun collection was next door at the RCBS store. It was a good long run and will be greatly missed. Thanks for the memories.

Hope I can run by one more time. When are they closing?

Huntington's is closing? Well that just sucks, sorry to hear it. Been there many times and they had tons of mounts.

If that is Fred Huntingtons store that's pretty sad. I read a lot of Jack O'Connor and he hunted a lot with Jack. Jack always made it a point to write about Fred's epic snoring.

They said the end of October. Don’t know if there is a hard date or when merchandise runs out. Getting pretty picked over

Don't do Ca, but sad that such is closing. An auction of those mounts would draw some serious cash.

Last time I talked to Fred he was complaining how hard it was to make money when you don't have any products to sell.

Sportsmans Warehouse opening in Chico sure didn't do him any favors.

Buzz, Fred's son, died in 2014, Fred earlier than that.

Last time I was in the store they had an 1886 for way more than market, salesman said Buzz set the price of his personal gun. I forget the name of the longtime salesman, he was a PITA trap shooting friend of my FIL.

I honestly don't know. Just always known him as Fred Huntington. Runs the Die Specialties store out the back. Cantankerous old cuss.

Back when my Dad and his pard were trying to scrape up a loan to build a shop, Fred offered to loan them the money for it. Only he wanted to skrimp and do dirt floors in an upholstery shop! LOL
