I like it, I prefer two door hardtop. The paint is nice, and the color is nice. As far as putting in a big block. Most won't out run a 373 built small block. Waste of time and money. Unless one likes to say mine is bigger😁!

My first car was a 55 Chevy coverable. Green with a white top. V8 auto.
Parents sold it when I went into the AF in 1963.
Wish I had it now.

Nice looking car. I prefer the 2 door also, give me a post though. I have a 1956 210 4 door sedan that I got when my father passed. He owned it a little over 35 year's and he loved that car. I use to tell him to convert it into a 2 door ( there is a guy around here who does it ) He was big on keeping it original. I had the engine rebuilt and am slowly doing some improvement's to it. My wife love's riding around in it. I like the Tri five chev's but late 60's early 70's car's are more in my interest, Having said that Dad's old chevy has a spot in the garage as long as I'm around.

When I was 14 or15 I'd decided I wanted a 55 for my ride when the time came. I looked & looked for a suitable fixer upper that a teen could afford & one never turned up.
Loosing time & patience, I bought a 57 that I'd seen in the weeds during my searching. I turned it into a fairly sharp looking car for a teen & it served well. But to this day I wish it had been a 55, as I still like them better.

That '55 is a beauty. You don't see many 55's around and even less '56's out on the road. Not the best pictures, but this is my '56 Bel Air.

Have a 350 in the shop now being cleaned up so kids and I can build it this fall to drop in it along with a T-56 6 speed so we can cruise. Just neat old cars in my mind and amazing how simple they are
That's better looking than the OP!!! Congrats!

What’s the difference between a 55 and a 56 . I could never tell the difference?

Tail lights mainly. The '55 has a solid red lens cover, the '56 has a small red tail lamp in the middle of the tail light assembly.

Grille is a bit different also. I think one of the few part's that is that is the same on the Tri five's is the trunk lid?

But it's a 4 door, so anything goes.
