Several years ago we were in Thibodeaux Louisiana where our son was attending the Manning Passing Academy at Nichols University. He’d been “invited” to go to that camp beginning in his sophomore year iirc and it was a fantastic opportunity for improvement as well as networking with players, coaches and trainers in both the NCAA and the NFL. I think it was his second summer there when some of the NFL coaches who had sons at the camp would attend the midweek games at the stadium. Sean Peyton was sitting a couple rows behind us in the bleachers and occasionally someone in the NFL or a parent of a camp attendee that was friendly with him would come over to say hi to him. This was a couple years after he and the Saints got busted for the pay to injure scheme they’d been caught doing. We couldn’t stand him or the Saints after that so when he was walking past me to his seat and we made eye contact he smiled and nodded at me but I didn’t acknowledge him at all. After the players were done with their games that night and we were saying goodnight to our son I asked him if he saw Sean Peyton and he said he had because Sean went on the field to meet everyone. I asked our son if he shook Sean’s hand like most everyone else and our son who was only 14 at the time said to me, “no dad I didn’t shake his hand because I only shake hands with men I respect and I don’t respect Sean Peyton”. I don’t remember whether his team “won” that night and I barely recall him playing really well that evening but I damn sure remember that night, probably always will, feeling extremely proud of our young teenage son that was obviously beginning to grow into a good man.

Well, if Vance Joseph had been there, he could've kicked him in the ass
