Now that the NULA 308 has been sold, I would be willing to pay a fair price for a ULA/NULA in 284, 280, 6.5 or 7mm-08.

I saw it on Guns international late last night, started calling a few minutes before they opened this morning and the story i got was someone else in the gun library was on the phone with someone buying it at that same time. The guy that took my call was the one who had listed it and started asking me questions about what it was and why there was so much interest in it.

cabelas is all over the place...i emailed them and said i wanted to buy a rifle a few weeks back ...never received a call back...i tried to buy this one and called at ten this morning and was told it sold yesterday...

Probably not quite what you're looking for, but I've got a matched set of early Forbes rifles in 270 and 30-06 that I just never use. They are excellent, I've owned a NULA and I can't tell any less quality in these 2 rifles (not saying all Forbes rifles are great). They were going to be my lightweight deer and elk rifles. I just never use them as I shoot my "normal" weight rifles better off-hand and I don't hike in 10 miles so a few ounces isn't a dealbreaker for me. Let me know if you'd be interested in a trade???

Cabelas needs to hire one of us to price their used guns. I still kick myself for not buying a NULA 308 from Cabelas in Gainesville Va a few years back. Stainless barrel with camo leaf stock for $999! I had just bought a Fieldcraft and couldn’t see spending another grand, but decided I could t pass it up. Was gone when I got back to the store…
