A million years ago, I moved to New Mexico for a job. Before my wife and I could get our New Mexico driver’s license we had to attend a 2 hour driver’s safety class. It was a class room discussion only training - no actual driving skill test.

The first thing the instructor of the class said to us was. “This class is more about teaching you about the dangers of driving on the roads and highways in NM, due to the high alcoholism rate here.” That was comforting to hear. 😳

The instructor went on to explain and name some of the most dangerous roads where a higher percentage of car fatalities had happened.

Moral of the class,,,,Watch out for drunks. This was 1998.

Wouldn’t it be amusing, if all the conservative States, especially those like Texas and Florida that are getting a major infusion of potentially liberal refugees from the East and West Coast, adopt this kind of mandatory training class before issuing a driver license?

But this class would focus on the beliefs systems, attitudes, and reasons why class attendees had chosen to leave their former State. Exploring further how their States became a shît-hole, and what public/political contributions lead to each State becoming an unfitting place for them to live anymore.

Then outline what is expected of the State’s newest residents for integrating into a more conservative culture, etc, etc, etc.

Former residents of Oregon, Washington, California, Minnesota, Michigan, PA, IL, and any other State where progressives have either completely taken over, or are on the cusp of turning a State blue would have to write a 3000 page essay on how they won’t fûck up their new conservative State they hope to call home.

Pass/Fail on their essay.

Didn’t think of that…A nice added bonus.

And you can’t vote without the DL.

Pard,

You wouldn’t have to read the entire essay.

Just look for key words like…I was in the PTA, sat on a school board. Anything that smells like being involved in driving diversity. Marched for BLM. Bumper sticker that says Bernie for Prez.

Easy things to spot. Progressives don’t hide themselves that good.

I wonder if they've changed the message since they decriminalized the Devil's Lettuce?

If one comes to their first class with a Rifle Loony hat, a sidearm, and sandals do they get an automatic pass?

Asking for a friend.

Only one caveat.

Each page must contain at least 50 words. Wouldn't want them righting one word per page.

Some would fail even attempting to write 3000 total words..................even 2 letter ones.

Especially if they are required to spell them correctly

All the people moving to TX need to learn the "zipper principle" when two lanes merge. They also need to learn how directionals work, including the proper distance to start using it when you plan to turn. Also, how to politely let someone move over, if some one driving slightly in front of you, signals they want to move over.

Driving courtesy can come later….Or not.

People moving to Texas or anywhere else need to stf mouths. Stay out of local politics and off school boards until they’ve had a few years of living there to decompress and get deprogrammed from where they came from.

No more, “Well, this is how it was done where we use to live”.

Have to pass the smell test first.

If they smell of patchouli. They immediately fail!

What if we married a Humboldt Honey and in 20+ years can't get the stink out of some items. Sentimental value and irreplaceable too. Can't just toss them.

I learned to drive long ago.

The zipper principle involves zipping as fast as you can to the front of the hold up, then cutting someone off to get to your exit.

3,000 pages? Damn, my thesis was only 168 pages and that was brutal enough.

Most people could't even write a 10 page essay.

Some here couldn't spell "essay"

Growing up on the border essay was spelled ese.
