I was just wondering if anyone has seen any Large Rifle Primers in their crystal balls? Any idea when they are going to show up? There was a new plant coming online in Texas this year, but I haven't heard anything recently.

They have been out for a few months now. Where have you been looking? CCI brought out the benchrest first, just like they did with the small rifle primers last year (brought out the BR4's first, the others slowly followed). The other ones (CCI) will eventually start showing up, but it's going to be a slow process. I've also seen Remington's. As for the CCI's, here's what I've seen: Prices from a few months ago: Prices more recently: As more start to fill the shelves, prices will go down. Contrary to some popular beliefs. Also, when Trump is back in office, we'll see prices drop like a rock. Not pre covid prices, but in the $50-$60 range for standard large rifle primers. How's that for rubbing my balls? I'm not a shaman, but I have a pretty damn good idea..
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

I don't know which image is worse, rubbing your balls or Trump back in office.
I really need to stop toggling the displays of people I've put on Ignore.

There was a new plant coming online in Texas this year, but I haven't heard anything recently. A few come through now and then but pretty sparsely. I managed to score a carton each of CCI 200s and Fed 210s a couple weeks apart a couple months ago. Just keep watching. I'm watching for Fed 210Ms myself. Tom

Glad to hear that they’re starting to show up for someone. I haven’t seen any for sale in two years. Seeing pistol and small rifle occasionally but no large rifle. Maybe someday . . .

I bought a couple boxes of fed210s a couple of weeks ago via shootingbot.com. It''s a pretty neat search/notification app. Pricey ofcourse when you include the hazmat fees but way cheaper than going thru GunBroker. One our return trip back to Michigan last month from Yellowstone I stopped in at no less than eight gun stores along our route and none had any large rifle primers. At that point I decided to give shootingbot a try and it worked out well.

Sportsman’s had Fiocchi primers on the shelf last weekend. Not heaps, nor cheap, but enough to get everyone through hunting season.

My local shop had about 10k of CCI and 10k of Fiochi when I was there 2 weeks ago. First LR primers I had seen since Covid. I haven't been looking very hard, but I definitely pay attention in every store I enter.
I bought 1k of them just for good measure. $129, I think?

Target Sports had CCI Large Rifle Magnum Primers for sale 6-8 weeks ago. I saw them somewhere else locally at about the same time.

Guess I got a deal last week. Federal 210s for $90.00/1000, at Cabela's of all places.
Think. It's not illegal, yet.

I payed $90 a piece for 2 bricks of cci #34's a month ago and a brick of CCI 250's for $75 a couple of weeks ago. Tough choice pay more to get when you see them or wait for a lower price and maybe never see them..mb

We are seeing large pistol primers, but I haven't seen any large rifle within 3 miles of me in the past 9 months. The last time was at Scheel a hundred miles away. A friend bought some for me--CCI 200. So one time in over 3 years.

Same. I have seen LR in person exactly one time since 2019/20 within ~40mi of my place. It was a partial brick of WLR, so I bought a few hundred and left the rest.
I have bought a few bricks of CCI200 online over the past year for $100-ish a pop. Seen a few other LR online here and there too, mostly BR2.

I’m more concerned about the lack of Sierra bullets than primers.

There seem to be plenty of LR primers in Montana presently, but you'll pay 10 cents each.
