DJTex, The kid must have taken the bullet with him because the butcher didn't have it anymore. It hit a rib going in behind the shoulder and went between the ribs going out. One pedal gone but the rest all there.

I put my kid in a .243 for his first go 'round, this year...with 85 X's of course.
Three single bullet kills, furthest was 250 yards.
I'll have me a .243 and 85 X's next year..... I rolled a bunch of 85-grain TSX bullets for my 243 WSSM recently. Just need it to warm up a little bit before I take off to the range.

I have taken a lot of deer with my 243 using the 85 grain TSX.
