Good morning. I have been legally gifted an old Savage 440A (56XXX) in rusted poor condition. Top lever was frozen, barrel rusted, etc. Using Kroil and vinegar, the top lever has been freed, and now the action has been completely disassembled. The plan is to thoroughly clean each part, replace the springs and reassemble. I have worked on a number of guns in the past but not an old O/U shotgun. I have the Numrich exploded parts diagram but could really use a video or some sort of additional guidance on reassembly. I realize that I may have to go to a gunsmith but want to check you all first on any reassembly guidance. Thank you.
