What are some reasonably priced non toxic muzzle loader bullets?

Not looking for the extreme range 2.00 a pop.

Thanks

Well I ran the Hornady 300 grain Mono last year. Not cheap but good.

I hate to say it but there isn’t a “cheap” non toxic hunting bullet. There are a few available if you can shoot a sabot bullet in your hunting area. They are basically a Barnes. There are a few options if you want true 50cal. full bore diameter bullets. Federal BORE Loc makes a solid copper 270gr. Bullet and they shoot great! Also check out THOR bullets. There are others but these are the ones I shoot and have had the best luck with!

This is a pretty general answer. A little google-fu will go a long ways.

The Barnes T-EZ, and presumably their other offerings, are worth the price of admission. IME MLs tend to put various bullets pretty closely together, so you need not use the spendy ones for practice (does anyone actually practice with their inlines?). I’d forgotten about the Bore Locs, but have so many others in hand I probably won’t ever get to them.

BTW, once you settle on one, keep your eyes peeled after the season ends for sales. I’ve picked up a number of bargains in the off season.

I've had good luck with the Barnes T-EZs, as well.

I’ve had good luck with Barnes and Thor copper bullets. They aren’t cheap.
