My homeowners insurance has coverage for firearms but it is fairly basic. I am curious if there is a insurance outfit that specializes in firearms and the like, that you would recommend? Hoping to get better coverage than with the homeowners and be able to drop them totally from homeowners or perhaps 2X coverage if able to.

Our homeowner's will cover about half of one of my more expensive arms. My quest typically find fees are sufficient for me to purchase a nice firearm about every two years. Given my age, such would be a substantial amount. I bought a good safe instead. I'll not argue safe quality, as given enough time, folks could crack Fort Knox.

I'll not argue safe quality, as given enough time, folks could crack Fort Knox. I insure through Collectibles. I’m not overly worried about someone breaking into my safes. If there were a serious house fire the guns and optics are going to be trashed between the fire, caving into a basement, and FD water. A few hundred dollars a year is worth it for the peace of mind IMO.
