I have several Griswold skillets. That one does not look bad at all and, believe it or not, $160 is not a bad price.

been using griss for over 50yrs, mine are seasoned so good you can fry eggs like in non stick, DO NOT USE SOAP TO CLEAN

been using griss for over 50yrs, mine are seasoned so good you can fry eggs like in non stick, DO NOT USE SOAP TO CLEAN Soap doesn’t contain lye anymore, it’s safe for cast iron,

That is true, but I still try to avoid using soap. Coarse salt and a chain mail scrubber are usually enough to clean up cast iron for me.

I wasn't all that interested in mom's and grandma's cast iron but after learning that my teflon cookware wasn't good for me, I got out a no brand made in usa pan and put it back into shape. Works pretty good. I kept the glass lids from the teflon pans and they fit things good enough to hold in heat and splatter. A larger cheap Lodge that I was given as a gift is slowly getting there as I don't use it that often.
I wash using soap but I do not leave the pan in the sink for long.
Old people knew stuff.

The wife uses salt, cooking oil and a paper towel to clean her cast iron. Seems to do the job.
