Bump for a good looking skillet. I haven’t been chasing them for a while, but that looks to be a fair price for someone wanting a solid piece that will hold its value. GLWS

I have several Griswold skillets. That one does not look bad at all and, believe it or not, $160 is not a bad price.

Free bump.

Soap doesn’t contain lye anymore, it’s safe for cast iron,

That is true, but I still try to avoid using soap. Coarse salt and a chain mail scrubber are usually enough to clean up cast iron for me.

I wasn't all that interested in mom's and grandma's cast iron but after learning that my teflon cookware wasn't good for me, I got out a no brand made in usa pan and put it back into shape. Works pretty good. I kept the glass lids from the teflon pans and they fit things good enough to hold in heat and splatter. A larger cheap Lodge that I was given as a gift is slowly getting there as I don't use it that often.

I wash using soap but I do not leave the pan in the sink for long.

Old people knew stuff.

The wife uses salt, cooking oil and a paper towel to clean her cast iron.
Seems to do the job.
