How long have these been available? I see that Buds shows one in 350 legend but they are not listed on the Winchester website. Anyone know?

I saw an ad on GunBroker that said, " Winchester lh". Never saw any info in ad. No pictures. Thought it was a mistake.

Winchesters site lists them in left hand for two cartridges, the 350 Legend and 6.8 Western. I've no interest in either but an 6.5 would interest me.

Looks like a plain model in four chamberings. .308, 30-06, .300 mag and 6.5 Creedmoor.

Camo LH is in 350 and 6.8. Looks similar to the Franchi Momentum Elite camo/color

As much as I applaud any new lefty offerings, it's a budget rifle made overseas. Pass for me

Maybe they're gearing up to make the 70 in lefty again. This is the first left handed model the company (aside from their Browning sister) has made in years.

Winchester has pretty much neglected us lefties for many years. Savage and Remington have been much better in that regard, especially Savage. Whether you like their rifles or not is another story. I don't care where they are made as long as it is not China.

Didn't see that. Good to know they have some standard popular options.

So, it appears these were unannounced (formally at least) so probably came to be after SHOT show season. Which is odd in itself that they could have a new model imported rifle on the shelves at the same time people are discovering it on their site. Not a bad thing, just not at all common.

The term "budget rifle" is beginning to look like anything under $1000 MSRP currently. Before it was thought of as the cheap break action single shots and such.

There is an article (though I can't seem to find the direct link to it) that reviewed and shot 10 "budget rifles" out of the box, and the XPR came out on top for accuracy. All 30-06, all the same factory load. Could have easily been a fluke, or coincidence that the gun really liked that load, but it says something, when going against the T3X, Ruger American, and others known for easy accuracy.

These will probably be actually better than some of the former offerings in LH that Winchester put out. The WSMs were OK, just not exceptionally accurate, and could be finicky. The long action 70s in LH had notorious problems, and were not easy to get to shoot accurate.

I was very surprised that they did these, even though they are on the lower price side of their rifle line. There wasn't much hope of Winchester offering anything for lefties.

I actually did just order one today in 350. I have several other rifles of that caliber, but Savage is about the only one that previously offered a 350 LH.
This compares to the Franchi 350 Legend Momentum Elite in features. If it shoots as well as a Franchi, I sure will be happy with it.

Can anyone comment on the trigger quality, the stock, or the mag and cycling reliability?

not a lefty but I have a right handed xpr in 6.5 prc

the stock is stiff for an econo rifle IMO , the mags work fine and it feeds great

the trigger is the same as a M70 and mine is good right out of the box and it is a tack driver with every load tried

the XPR is a real sleeper in the lower priced category , IMO

So is the Sauer 100, Mauser M18 & Tikka T3x. Would you pass on these too?
