Too hot, feet sweat, and then get cold. Stay away.

Are they that spendy that buying a pair is going to be a financial burden?

Seems to me like socks and cold feet vary immensely person to person.

In the summertime we didn't have shoes to wear
But in the wintertime we'd all get a brand new pair
From a mail order catalog
Money made from selling a hog
Daddy always managed to get the money somewhere...

Alpaca socks might feel good inside my Crocs when I'm plowing snow this winter.

If they weren't hollow...how would you get your feet in them?

What happens in Fish camp stays in fish camp... I reckon.

I only have a couple of pairs of alpaca. They are heavyweights. Reserved for very cold days with long sits...IDK about them for walking/hiking...they are extremely warm. I would like to try some lighter-weight versions. Otherwise, I wear 70% or more merino wool socks.

I have a set of alpaca insoles, too. With those and the sock, 200gr boots feel like pac boots without the bulk.

They're very pricey. I was looking at a pair I really liked (Hanco brand) but when I saw the price tag, I got cold feet.

I have a pair of Alpaca socks that I wear when hunting whitetails in very cold weather for stands where I will have to do no to little walking to get to. They are warmer than my Smartwool socks of similar thickness but do sweat your feet if you must hike in them for any distance.

Put some deodorant on your feet before them socks, feet won't sweat much. I use unscented stick. Works for me.

$35 for boot socks isn’t cheap, but Smartwool isn’t much less. I guess the key buy is the three pack of Cabelas wool socks for about $20 last I looked.

LOL, was "a pair I liked (Hanco brand)" not a good enough hint?

Hanco is known for posting nice pairs.
