it's cheaper than paying someone else to do the job, and you still have the tools when you're done... and you know what they say "if you want it done Right, Do it yourself"

I know there’s more but a staking tool for 1911 plunger tubes comes to mind immediately. Odds of using it again are pretty low.

Loads of em...and the problem is if your stubborn (and cheap) like me if you ever need it again you will probably waste more time looking for it then it would take to go get another one and do the job......I know that dam things gotta be here in this wall of tool boxes and parts bins somewhere!!! They claim one size fits all... but it was to damn small for me to even try...

Ridgid plumbers snake (and I'm no plumber). Used it once, hopefully NEVER again.

Vinyl siding zip tool. Used once in 2001 to replace a piece of siding with weed eater damage before selling the house. It's still in my toolbox, but I haven't had vinyl siding on my house since.

Wanted Dad to "fix it".
Good news! It's PEX!
Bad news! The kid doesn't have a PEX clamping tool!
Went and bought one at Lowe's. About $125!
I removed it carefully from the packaging. Made probably 5 or 6 joints with it, carefully!
Slipped it back into the undamaged packaging. The kid returned it! WHEW!!!!
that is almost as bad as a groid going in and robbing it

Did you say use or lose?

Yesterday I moved my lathe (in storage for over 20 years) in preparing to prepare it for use again. Found my powder pan for the 5-0-5, that I replaced (only the pan- with a cheap Chinee electronic scale that works perfectly, but had a suitable pan ) some months ago when I took up minor reloading again.

No idea how it wound up in lathe parts........ but now I can lose it again! smile

And have 3 fully complete powder scales.

Not necessarily but mostly.

I used to have a sand-filled 55 gal drum in the yard rigged up as a bullet catcher for the high powers. When I got rid of it I strained the sand, melted the caught bullets, and used them for ML.

Bought, used and returned a tool to remove a stuck knob in shower about a month ago.

Flame away.

Yeah, got one of them! Sadly, it's come in handy more than once.
Had a bunch of Lake City '06 brass I wanted to resize to .270 Win.
Lubed the first case. It resized easily, but ripped the rim off the case. Out comes the stuck case remover!
Lubed the next case. Same scenario!
WTH?
Finally figure out I had picked up the wrong case hold! 😖

Worst case scenario ever.
I had resized a butt load of cases when I came across obe case I missed. Thinking, "There should be enough lube to do one case!"
WRONG!!!!
Even the stuck case remover would not extract it!!!
Finally had to literally "peel" the stuck case out of the die!

Haven't used it in over a decade now! I will not sell it!

The tool you need to pull the broken spark plugs in the Ford 5.4 Triton engine. Piss poor spark-plug design.
