After reading the round ball threads here, felt like showing a couple of my round ball guns. Top one is a Pedersoli Tryon with a 32" 1:65 and the bottom is a Plains style with a Green Mountain 29" 1:66. For years I was a FFg user in these, but recently have started using FFFg in them with nice results. I really enjoy using these and am a dedicated percussion guy, sorry flinters! Lol! Even more so, it is that time of year! Enjoy!

While I prefer the weight and balance of my .54 Deerstalker, my Renegade with a 32" Green Mountain barrel shoots a 100 yard group that the Lyman and TC Hawkin .50 can't match at 50 yards. I have been shooting FFFg for 50 years and find it better.

Thanks for the nice comments guys, appreciate them. I had a Renegade with a 32" RB Green Mountain barrel. I SO wanted to be able to use it better! But the T/C stocks don't have enough drop for me and lining up the sights was just too much of a chore (guess my melon's too big!)! And yeah, I shoulda been using FFFg a lot sooner... but, better late than never!

Those are nice looking rifles. Iron furniture makes them even better in my mind!
Kinda have wild game dinner written all over them.
Target shot or two also!

Nice cap locks, Dean. I remember you posting the Pedersoli right after you acquired it. Maybe I missed the range report you owed" us. By the way, who made the Plains rifle? I am partial to that one.

No idea who put the Plains rifle together, no name anywhere on it that I can find. But it's got the GM barrel, a R.E. Davis trigger and a Sile lock. Very nicely done rifle!
Sorry, I'll try to remember pictures from the next range session...
