Brush Buster, I am not the original owner. The rifle was used as a hunting rifle, not a bench rifle. The cosmetics would indicate lower rather than higher round count. Based on what I know about it's past use, and my personal experience shooting it, there is no way it has been fired enough to negatively impact accuracy.

$1,600 shipped. Final price drop. I'll throw in a box of Barnes 140gr TTSX ammo too.

Could you push a patched cleaning rod down the bbl and get the true twist?
Thank you.

I'm getting 1:9.75" with a cleaning rod. Since Remington never made that twist in the .280 Rem, and it's a factory barrel, I'm going to assume it's 1:9.25", especially since there is a margin for error using the cleaning rod method.

Forgive my ignorance here, but is this chamber cut to the SAMMI specs for the ".280 Ackley Improved", as opposed to the older wildcat with the same name but slightly different specs?

The chamber is cut to the SAMMI spec. Thanks for asking.

What size groups are you getting out of the rifle?
