I guess this takes place in January of 2024? First I have heard of it. That 3.2% should about cover the teensiest bit of inflation between now and January. I say they need to make the increase match the interest rates on a national level. If credit card interest rates were factored in, you might have steak a night or two a month...  But in the big picture of things, 3.2% in this economy isn't even throwing the dog a bone.

SS isn’t even considered in my retirement plans. I’m sure it’ll be gone or at least means tested by the time I’m eligible. I’m self employed so it really pisses me off that the government steals 15% of my gross income right off the top, no iffs ands or buts.
