Does anyone have any reliable load data for a temperature stable powder in 6mm Remington behind 90/95 grain Nosler Ballistic Tips?
Would prefer Hodgdon Extreme powders like H4350 or H4831 but JB/MD, I believe has indicated fair success with Hunter.
I currently have a load with RL19 but would like something more stable for a Kansas doe hunt in January.

I have been shooting a 6mm Remington for 54 years with IMR 4350 in Summer and Winter. I use 45gr for 85 gr bullets and 43 gr for 100gr bullets'. So, I guess that I am not too concerned about temperature sensitive powder. But then I don't shoot over 300 to 400 yds at Game.

I've shot enough long range comps over the yesrs and constantly checked my velocity and zero before a match, to not buy into the "temp stable" marketing crap. I keep 3 sets of data for my loads, 0 to 30 degrees F, 30 to 60 degrees F, and 60 to 90 degrees F. That covers all the temp swings we see here.

Take your current load, check zero when you get there.

Best accuracy in my rifle with the Nosler 95gr BT is 44.5gr RL-16, which gives 3195 fps from a 24 in. barrel. If you like H4350, you'll like RL-16. Seems to be a little less dense, but haven't found case volume to be a problem.

Went to Hodgdon’s load data site and found loads for Nosler 95 grain BTs. When I went there a year ago, I didn’t see any Nosler bullet data so that is why I asked. They must have updated it me thinks….

Or IMR is a stable line.... I have a load that shoots the same regardless of temperature

H4350 and H4831 are temp stable and will do anything you want to do with this cartridge.

Is this the great debate of what the infamous 6mm Remington can do with the "magical" powder it's loaded with ?

Ball powders are much more high temp sensitive than stick. Prairie dog hunters with hot ball powder loads can attest to this fact. Many used to keep loaded ammo in coolers on hot days. I’ve had several times with limit loads on dog hunts where I was cratering primers and getting heavier bolt lifts from 90° days. So be careful with Winchester or other ball powders with burn retardant coatings

any ball powder or spherical wouldn't shoot worth spit for me on varying temp days. That's why I went to single based. Seems like these forums are worse than a gambling table.

any single base powder, for 95 gr. BT's I like IMR 4831. Hodgdons extreme line is their single base powders

Those are the 2 I'd be looking at.

Six years ago, my Son in Law bought an old 788 in 6mm Rem. At that time I loaded a just off max load of IMR 4831 over the Hornady 95 gr SST., seated to kiss the lands.

I took the rifle to the range Wednesday to zero a 3-9x40 Bushnell 4200 I had put on for SIL and his kid to use for a deer hunt. This rifle lives up to the 788's reputation for accuracy.

No workup, no trial and error, just grab a load and shoot under .75 MOA.

I endorse IMR 4831!

Next week, I get to see if my 244 will shoot the same load.

I've used IMR 4350 in the 6mm with good results. What I happily use now for either punching tight clusters in paper or holes through whitetails is IMR 4831. From what I seen it's a really good powder in the 6mm.

Yes. I have a bunch of 85 gr FB loaded for it. But for S&G thought I would try this 95. I would not even attempt if they were BT.
