Picked up one or these lately. It is one of the matte finish green logo scopes made toward the end of production. I have owned some of the v3 and K2.5 scopes from the same era but it has been many years. The glass is better than I remember. Seems like a great scope for a levergun. Any of y’all still running one of these scopes?

Yes, presently on my .308. Still have several other Japanese Weaver Classic V's and K's in use as well.

Yes. I have a couple of them. One is on my Winchester 88 .308 Win. I'm pissed Bushnell discontinued them. Light weight classic scope, small form factor and good glass with ample eye relief at a great price. Not much to complain about except they're no longer produced.

They were a lot of scope for the money. What a shame that they're no longer produced.

I picked up a used 10/22 that had a silver one on it. The V, not the RV version. Threw it on a local site for 100 bucks with leupold rifleman rings, no bites, lowered it to 75 no bites. Crazy, I thought it would go quick, they are nice little scopes. Gonna keep it for whatever may come down my path in the future. Thinking about one of those cva scouts in 300bo, be a cool little suppressed setup with that scope.

I just mounted one on a Mannlicher Anschutz 22 Mag. I have a few of them along with a half dozen of the rimfire version. All excellent and inexpensive particularly at the end of run.

The V series are/were good ones. I've had 5 of the Japanese V16's for many years without any problems. Way good for what they cost.

I’ve found that these and the rest of Weaver’s Japanese-made scopes are all I’ve ever needed for any rifle that I’ve ever owned.Useful reticle, excellent tracking, great glass, all at a reasonable price. And I’ve yet to have any failures with them.Yes, it’s a sad thought that they’re no longer in production, for me anyway…

I had a Weaver V10 2-10X on a Winchester Md 70 .280 Rem for about 17 years without any issues. Held zero great over hundreds of rounds fired.

Following this thread. I have the rimfire version on a CZ 452, zero complaints, excellent glass. Have the regular version on a Ruger 77/22 Mag., same. Bought two more when Natchez was closing them out, yet to mount them. Trim, light, bright, without the tacticool protuberances that seem to be the rage. I just wonder about durability on a heavier kicker?

I have a 20 year old Nikon Monarch UCC 2-7x32 that's been good, but wish I had gone with a Weaver 2-7x32 instead, as the Nikon rear bell is too fat. I have a Weaver 2.5-7x28 on a Kimber 22 and it's flawless.

I have a Classic V in 3-9x38. Bought in 2001ish I think for a muzzle loader. Served well there for 12 or so years then moved to newer muzzle loader for 6+ years and currently on a 700 in 270. Not high round count by any stretch, but never had an issue. It always adjusts and holds zero.

Any of y’all still running one of these scopes? Had that exact scope on my Marlin 444, it worked perfectly till I replaced it with a Leupold 1-4X. Put that 2-7 on a rimfire after that then eventually sold it. Good scope. 41

I have three of them. Initially I had two, both went tits up.The crosshairs no longer moved. A good guy on here had one with a different problem so he sent me his.I made a good one out of two.
I used these scopes on my Model 88, .308 and Model 70, 7 mag, then switched that one to my .06. Those V-7's 2-7X were just right for the hunting I did.
I sent my Leupold fixed 6x back to the factory this week. If they won't replace it, the V-7 will go on my 6.5 Swede in it's place.

I have a Weaver Classic (Japan mfg) fixed 2.5 x.
Extremely bright. Long eye relief (4+"), excellent resolution, sharp duplex reticle. Tracks as designed, and holds zero. GREAT SCOPE!
