My turkey hunting mentor gave me his single shot 20 gauge. Its some italian job he paid $27 some time ago with a top tang safety, ribbed barrel, and fairly decent trigger. It seems to pattern well using trap loads, but they it puts almost all of the patter below the bead.

I could see if I can get a meadowcreek mount or find the Williams fire sights I took off my BPS 12 gauge when I got my franchi.

I have two other 20 gauge turkey guns so I wanted this as a back up and general truck gun and would prefer not to put sights or red dot on it.

Go any suggestions on how to make it shoot a higher pattern??

A bigger bead will pattern higher. Most beads screw in and out and replacements can be bought at Brownell's.

Turkey load might hit higher due to recoil. Try it. A lower bead shoot higher.

put a comb raiser on it. Much like with any shotgun, raising your head makes it hit higher

I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects

I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....

I haven't tried it yet. No idea what the choke is but the cheap field loads had a nice pattern.... just bead and below.

Yea.. this thing is super light and pnches back.

I had a slip on linbsaver type recoil pad and the extra length made it sight perfectly down the rib.

My mentor was a short guy and the stock is short. I don't thnk he shortened it, but these guns were set up for kids. I'm getting excited to try it with the pad on.
