New to the crossbow game Factory scope is ok but would like to upgrade the glass I would think a 50-75 yard parallax would be best but then again looking for recommendations Low light quality is a must

I got a tact 100 illuminated a few years ago for my Excalibur and like it, dial in the fps of your bow and mine is pretty much dead on out to the 55 yd mark. Set up to go to 100 yds, never tried past 55 yds, I personally wouldn't shoot at a deer past 40 or 45.

this year 2023 i sold my Ravin x-bow was just too noisy and i had to use mechanical broadheads which i am not a real fan of. fall of 2023 after i sold the Ravin i started using my Excalibur 340 which i liked better was much more quiet and slower so i could go back to using my bolts/arrows i build myself ,2219 shafts - 5 inch feather right wing fletch helical - Zwickey Eskimo with bleeders solid blade that i sharpen myself by hand. in Dec. 2023 i shot a decent 9 point that only went 90 yards and left a nice blood trail ,arrow went right thru rib cage and i have not found yet to much snow then buck dressed 211 lbs. huge body . >> this is the Scope part i want to comment on i plan on this year 2024 putting on a new Burris 1-6 x22 30 tube ,that will illuminate also has a circle and a dot that is orange when turned on , yes this a rifle scope but i have found this Burris scope to be very durable and easy to use , i have 4 of these scopes now and all are great scopes. Burris scopes are lifetime too . good luck with your choice,Pete53

I just use a red dot.

I mean, honestly, how much magnification or quality do you need for under 50 yard shots and often half of that if you do your part? If they held still long enough, you could probably throw a rock that far.

I'm not being condescending, but seriously.

If (when) the little Nikon on my Excalibur croaks, I’ll go that way too. I’ve used a red dot before, as well as a prism, and even tried one of those green triangle thingys, and was able to hit okay with all of them. The scope does make it easy to spot stuff in the way of your arrow flight.

I've got a Vortex Crossfire II speed adjustable crossbow scope on mine. It works as it should and I've killed several bucks with it with no complaints. I bought a Hawke speeed adjustable scope for it first and sent it back as the fast focus eye piece was loose and wobbly.

Like the OP I am in the must have for low light performance.

Zeiss Duralyt 2-8x40 with #60 reticle on one and a Meopta 1.5-6x42 on the other. NO Illumination because it interferes with low light performance. Both crossbows are Excalibur recurves.

Hawke scopes are made in China. Not wishing to support our enemy whenever possible.
