Have a friend of a friend chomping at the bit to buy my S&W 25-5 4" from me. I honestly have no idea what it is worth, I got it in a group of guns where I had to buy them all to get the ones I really wanted. It's in good shape, but does have some slight bluing wear on the right side of the barrel. Just looking for real world prices as I don't really want to sell, but don't want to give him a crazy, out of the world price either.

Were these made in 45 acp and 45 colt?? What is this one? 900 is good ball park....but amount of vluing loss could push it several hundred either way

I believe all -5’s were 45 Colt.
One of the few revolvers Smith made that the - number determined the chambering (45 colt or 45 auto for model 25)

+1. Good guess without pics and level of bluing loss.

Also depends on whether it has just aftermarket rubber grips or a nice set of original S&W target grips…… I sure wouldn’t sell my 25-5 for anything close to $900…..

The one bucket list gun that always seems to get away. Around here they seem to be $1000-1200
