great story. I always look forward to you and your families yearly antelope hunts. Glad you like the meat so much. I mostly jerky ours. Keep up the good work.

Love reading your stories MedRiver! I especially like the saga about the 30Gibbs! I was expecting to read about you fireforming more brass on this goat hunt! Will there be any follow up stories on the Gibbs or have you moved on to bigger and better things?

Your son will have to hunt a looooong time to best that buck! Congrats to him!

Is that one goat being packed out in a Final Rise vest?

Great idea.

MedRiver;
Good morning to you sir, I trust this finds you and your fine family well.

Thanks so much for sharing your very cool family hunt with us here.

Please send hearty congratulations to all of the hunters involved.

As well, I'll send you a tip of the battered Bailey for the time and effort you put in to ensure the hunts took place. Sincere kudos for that sir, we all know it doesn't happen in a vacuum.

Thanks again, all the best and good hunting to you all.

Dwayne

Glad you like it! Gibbs is probably sidelined this season. Made a major mistake earlier this year (went to throw a load together real quick to test velocity and forgot I had changed the powder in the chargemaster. Needless to say a 180 Accubond was never meant to leave a Gibbs at over 3200 fps) and locked it up tighter than a drum. Didn’t damage the action or the barrel but did some damage to the bolt and just got it replaced.

Plan to mostly hunt with my skeleton stock Ruger .30-06.
