For those of you familiar with them, do Montana Rifleman actions come from the factory trued, lapped, polished, etc. or are they strictly a stock-finished action? I realize in asking this, that if they are stock, that they're probably still finished much better than any of our popular factory actions. Thanks.

There is no doubt someone here who will answer this better than I but I will speak from my experience of one. The company has also reorganized I believe since mine was made.

I have a 458 Lott built on one and the 'smith, squared and trued, polished and honed quite a bit. The period that mine came out of MRC's concept was not so much that they provided a finished product but a basic one that was intended to be refined.

I am very happy with it now.
