Which map app do you use and prefer?
Why?
I want a feature for landowner information for possible contact and permission.
Clarity and updates of maps is also an important feature.
Waypoint marking.
Public land layer
Ease of use.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks!

OnX, to me simpler, lots of good info and constantly updating, providing new info/layers. Plus they're a great company.

OnX for me.
You didn’t mention DeerCast.

I use Base Maps. Never used OnX, so can’t compare.

Thanks! OnX is the only one that I have experience with. Does everything you are asking about. It's simple enough for a trolodyte like me to operate and I'm probably only using half of the features it offers.

My son subscribed to OnX just to see what the neighbors were doing. Some of the property lines are a bit wonky, but the big picture and who owns what is spot on.

All I've used is on x cause my employer pays for it. My nephews have used it and huntstand. They say they prefer huntstand. Not sure why exactly. I think they started with it and maybe haven't used onX as much. But really don't know.

Just signed up for Huntstand and I don't like it at all. I don't need the software to track cam photos and I don't own hunting land for management purposes.
I've had and used both OnX and Basemap. I'm going back to Basemap, for what I'm using it for, it works the best and I get property ownership for all 50 states for the same price as one state with OnX.
