Cute Rio...
Another Texan is born...
If you are not actively engaging EVERY enemy you encounter... you are allowing another to fight for you... and that is cowardice... plain and simple.

o there is a connection to the bigfoot incident? Do you still keep in touch or did he just use you and leave you? Yes I have sodomized a Bigfoot. But it was not in Colorado. I'm thinking you were on the receiving end of the encounter, thus explaining why you always seem butt hurt.....

But he hunted over bait... You think native Americans didn't take advantage of game feeding on abundance? Back in East Texas, if you can find an overcup oak, you hunt around it! Deer LOVE those acorns.

The dude has a YouTube channel and from watching him there and talking to someone who knows him, he seems to be poison with his selfbow. Pretty cool as I’ve built one and shot it and it isn’t easy to master, I never did.
As far as baiting a bear is concerned. If you’ve ever hunted eastern Oklahoma where this season is you’d know that there is likely no way short of hounds or pure luck to get a shot at one otherwise. It is incredibly thick down there and the bear population isn’t huge.
I don’t know if he’s any more of “real” hunter than anyone else. But what he did certainly takes more skill and dedication or pure assed luck than smoking one with a crossbow or rifle. At a minimum he’s able to shoot his weapon of choice proficiently and he’s probably good at being still. Good on him.
And Rinella and his ilk can get fugked.

So I guess the rest of us ain't real hunters? Stone point bow hunter is a Pard unto himself. We should emulate his purity and chasteness that he exhibits in his hunting craft. I'm throwing my rifle in the creek after I tape the objective lens with colorful tape. I bet he'd schit watching me ground pound some COCK. LOL Why do you have to puke all over this forum? Why don't you go somewhere you're wanted? Although I can't imagine where that might be. To the OP, thanks for posting this, quite a feat. He's right you know. The OP posted a great story. Any hunter would appreciate it, but you come along and puke on it. Why? Don't you realize that we're pretty much all sick of it? Grow up. Get some maturity. Rumor is he has been taking up with Big Stick - that's probably why.

DipChit deflave thinks he's funny. He is not. Pure trailer trash. And incredible 147 posts on Sunday (so far). No doubt locked-up in is single wide in some FL trailer park, drinking all day and sucking up oxygen. He should do the world a favor and kill himself. mm I don’t wish that people kill themselves, but it is amazing when I post about this crap and other inane postings, especially fouling another’s great thread, and call for Rick to clean the site up, people actually question the problem. It's not a problem. People without a sense of humor are the problem. Maybe we should break the Campfire sub-forum into 2 sub-forums. One for news parroting and humorless douches and one for people who know how to laugh and enjoy a campfire. Correct.

making the bow, the arrows and then killing a bear is quite an achievement. I missed the part where the article or the OP belittled the rest of us, or said other folks should ditch their rifles. What is it about the 'fire that brings out the worst in people? What was the incentive to trash an interesting thread or launch such rebarbative personal attacks?

Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Give a man a welfare check, a forty ounce malt liquor, a crack pipe, an Obama phone, free health insurance. and some Air Jordan's and he votes Democrat for a lifetime.

The Oklahoma Selfbow Jamboree https://www.okselfbow.com/ojamThat sounds like a really cool event and that guy sure works obsidian well. Thanks for post. Didn't most American Indians stop using stone arrow heads in the 16th century? Iron arrowheads were a huge trade item, knives and axes too. Old pots and other scrap metal would be reworked into arrowheads. For one thing iron weren’t fragile like obsidian/flint. Same vein, by the 1770’s Iroquois leaders were saying their young men “had forgotten the use of the bow”, by then rifles were in big. That guy didn’t ask a whole lot of that arrow in terms of range on that bear. Accounts say Comanches on a running horse could hit you or your running horse at 100 yards. Longest recorded arrow fatality; May of 1839 where Temple TX is today, against Ranger Captain John Bird. Hit him center chest, single arrow, 200 yards. Prob’ly self bow, prob’ly iron arrowhead. I dunno how much the arrowhead woulda weighed. IIRClots of stone points that used to be called “bird points” were actually used on big game.

The OP stated the guy that killed his bear is a "REAL hunter." Which implies those that do not use the methods the article describes are not real hunters. I'd think after eight decades on this earth you'd be able to comprehend this but I guess not.
