Just removed a double post on this with a question on reliability. How is the HiPower-ish Turk unit holding up across all models? And how about compatibility of parts used in the Browing/FN design. Parts for the full sized pistols is a straightforward swap-out, minus the typical tweaking any gun might need. Those PI models, the shorty versions, aren't quite so straightforward, the recoil system is quite a bit different, for example. Also keep in mind that Browning (FN) made a lot of changes over the years, to the originals, extractors, even a firing pin block, different locking block inserts in the frames, etc., but the Girsans and Tisas (and Springfields) pretty much use the later model parts that FN used. I put a new trigger in mine, from Cylinder and Slide, and it dropped right in. No hassles at all.

Don't hate on the beavertail until you shoot some with one, no way in hell it can bite you, and it's REALLY comfortable. I have one exactly like EdM's, it's a nice pistol. I'm one of those people who get bitten by regular Hi Powers, and the beavertail is copied from Jim Garthwaite's custom pistols. it's a good design, and if it doesn't bite, it's easier to shoot it well. Nothing like hammer bite to futz up the concentration when you're trying to shoot. This cures that, and does it well. That's why I said I liked the beavertail, i.e., whenever I shoot my real Browning Hi Power I just have to expect to have a small wound on the web of my hand that will need some minor first aid.

... aluminum frames, neat.
... but not the straight trigger, which I'm swapping out with a C&S wide curved trigger (I like the curved triggers a lot).
Not much of a fan of the rail on a "concealment" pistol, either.
That seems to defeat the purpose, adding a light makes the smallest pistol kinda bulky...............

https://eaacorp.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/MCP35-PI-LW-OPS-TT-RIGHT.pngMine came in Monday and like a kid with a new toy I couldn't wait to shoot it! Rushed out to my property at lunch on Thursday and launched 30 ball and 15 Hyrashoks, ran perfectly! Tomorrow I am going to run a few hundred more through it then start carrying it if it passes muster.
Pershing 1A. No city too big, no populated area too small. We even get the roaches.

all done dicking with it... How do you like it compared to your DWX Compact? I got to fondle one of those this week, the trigger was superb on the Wesson. It was scary-good. I was sorely tempted.

No comparison. The DWX is superb in every way. I don't think it possible to even make the Girsan trigger as good as the DWX OR the Shadow2. The Girsan is a good pistol, but not in the same class. I do like them all, but in order is the DWX, Shadow2 the then the little HP. The Girsan is slim and sexy, tho.....
