Just read any one of his tens of thousand of posts and you’ll have your answer - they are all the same.

Twist, twist, twist, twist, twist, twist, twist, twist, twist, twist, twist.
Bullets matter more........
Why do you GAF what he thinks.
Are you long-range shooting or average hunting? 25‐400yds with under 150 the norm?
The 270 is as great as ever for that hunter.
PS. 270s are gayer than aids.

I like the 270 a lot. I use 130 grain trophy tipped Bearclaws. I don’t shoot past 300 yards. They are great for that. The 130 Ballistic tip is great too.

I simply shoot it all and then some and am happy to scoop Donors,at every opportunity, then simply extrapolate with an open mind. Mechanics matter to me and you gals can fret Estrogen and Emotions. Hint. 243 Montucky hit the porch yesterday, despite being 1-10". I'll whistle a few hunnert 87 'Max through it and fling it in the Mail,to mate with a 1-7" .224 spout laying in wait and yield yet another Speedmire. Might rebore this particular 270(I've a "few") to Tree Turdy Ate Twat-Six and chop at 21",for 250 Skinner .650 BC Smooches. Hint. OEM 700 'boxes play more than nicely, with such things and preclude Winchester Goat Fhuqkery. Hint. Will try to reel in a CA Mesa 7-08 in the next coupla days. Got confirmation yesterday, that my Outlier 7-08 spout arrived and I keep hoping that Eric pokes my K&P 6 Dasher 1-7" AI/AT spout in the Mail,so I can flog on the AW HRD Gear Conversions,to see WTF. All my AICS 6BR conversions are killer. Hint. THE 6 week November To Remember Vacation starts today. Keep the Brokedick Whining coming,as that High Pitched Nasal Whine sure is fhuqking soothing ladies. Hint. Fhuqking LAUGHING!.................

Got to be one in the stack of crap that can't hit the 500 yard gong. Hint
Quality, trigger time, and actual hunting/shooting experience matter way more than alleged quantity and spewing BS. Hint

In my opinion the 270 outclasses the 30-06 except for the heavier bullets (200g and up). It shoots flatter, hits as hard and recoils less than the 30-06. Let the flame wars begin!

Chuck

Mass in and of itself, means nothing. Projectile integrity and impact velocity are key,in Terminal Effect Determinations(non-CNS). Hint.
The 270 is simply a Goat Fhuqk, due projectiles available to it's bore sizing. Hint.
.284" bore sizing stomps them all,if only to the chagrin of Melting CLUELESS Snowflakes. Hint.
It's never been difficult to savvy who shoots and who don't. Hint....................

Love my 270 , probably shot a box or two of cartridges through it over past 30 years. Probably have a few more years before I "shoot the barrel out" .It is a fine deer killer. Always thought a 25-06 would be better but never owned one though. I live a sad life compared to Stick....Joe

What's up with that 7-08 Mesa? What's your thoughts on those rifles?

I'm not a CA guy(in any guise),but it's a way to burn free PFD Loot. They really need to revisit their .284" twist rates and make them 8" across the board. IF it's a TRUE 9"(cleaning rods don't lie),I'll fling some 180's when it gets cold and see WTF. If I'm happy,I'll go AICS binderless DBM. If not,I'll rebarrel to Speedmire for 88/90's. Hint..................

Stick, do those Burris bases normally line up well front to back or do you have to bed them?
