I'm usually an accubond fan, but they have been unobtainable recently. Are the 140 gr accubond at 6.5 creed velocities a pretty tough bullet?

I haven't used the 140 Accubond at Creed speeds, but we used a few BT's out of 18" AR's for youth from the 6.5 Creed. While the deer died fine, there wasn't explosive expansion but just a nice hole drilled through with quarter sized exits. They worked fine, but each buck ran nearly 100 yards before dying. Seeing that, I'd drop some bullet weight or look for a softer bullet. The 140 BT in the 264 is pretty tough when started at 3200, so it's even stouter several 100 FPS less from the CM.

I keep scoring blem accubonds from Shooters Pro Shop on a regular basis in multiple calibers. They shoot just as accurately as non blems, can't figure out why they as advertised that way but at 50-80% off I could care less

That 140 at creedmoor speed should be tough on bone I'd assume?

have no idea why you would need an accubond at 2800 fps mv. have ran BT's to 3550 fps with good results on deer and black bear.

I use the 120 NBT from my 260 rem just over 2900fps and have never had issues with whitetail shoulders. The 120 NBT and the 129 Hornady IL are the only two bullets I use from my 260

I found the 140 NAB to be to stout at 260 remington velocities for VA whitetail. I was able to find easy accuracy with them. I would try the NBT. I switched to 120TSX and had good results on deer. Been rolling 100 NBT's of late haven't harvested any with them as yet been doing more bowhunting.

Good luck and shoot straight y'all

My biggest thing and why I like them so much is for the thicket hunting I do, hard angle shots. Probably still not needed but they have worked for me and I have confidence in them, so there is no sense in changing. I'm gonna order a box of 140 gr btips and try them out as well
