Linksys has been cheap/easy mode for 20+ years... Do you have any special requirements for the router?

TP link EAP 245 x2
Still working on optimum set up but so far I love them. I have one old laptop wireless card that refuses to work. I can get around that. I need some separation between parts of our home/work network. So I'm setting up multiple ssd's most with internet access only.

I have a Netgear Nighthawk 1900 that I got at Costco 7-8 years ago. Pairs well with my Google Fiber which is sooo much better than Spectrum!

I have used Netgear and Linksys. They're fine. My current one is a TP Link and it's better.
You should replace your router every three to five years to keep up with newer security protocols. Having somebody hack into your wifi is a lot less common than the alarmists claim, especially residential wifis. But it can happen.

Run a TPLink Archer A7. Have a few SSID's set up. One for the household, one for guests, and one for IOT. Have the IOT one pretty locked down. The guest AP is locked down but not as tight.
It also allows for a USB drive to connected and used as a media server.

I've utilized Linksys and Netgear. They're alright. Do you need the router to meet any specific requirements?

Wi-Fi 6E is just now starting to come out and Wi-Fi 7 which will be much faster yet should be out soon. I purchase mine outright, the only thing I rent is the cable's TV box... and that only because they won't sell them.

Linksys WRT3200 ACM. I've been meaning to put openwrt on it for a few years. Maybe I'll get to it this winter now that I'm retired and have spare time.

I have a TP Link AX50.
The parental controls, like usage times don't work.
