My 12 year old granddaughter is shooting my 6mm Creedmoor threaded Barrett Fieldcraft and at 14" LOP it is too long for her. I know AG Composites makes the Fieldcraft stock and have emailed them about a replacement stock with a shorter LOP. Does anyone else know of another company that makes a drop in for the Fieldcraft? I obviously do not want to cut the stock I have. Thanks for any info.

I had THE Stock Doc chop all of mine to 13.5" LOP. Hint.
I made a Thread somewhere. Hint.

they offer Melvins original stock for 750 installed and painted should work for you i think i would cut the ag stock down and have the nula stock made to fit me which ever stock you get with the short LOP have a 1/2 inch pad put on it so it can be extended another 1/2 inch with a 1 inch pad in the future if needed

Would a stock from a Colt Light rifle work for her as a temporary youth stock ?

CLR is LA and OP has a SA; even if it were LA to LA the hole spacing and inlet is different. I’m sure you could make it work if motivated enough though.

Kinda looking for a drop in. Glenn can definitely fit a stock on it and would do a great job I'm sure. I may get to that we will see. Barrett has nothing for me. Waiting to hear from AG Composites.

It's kind of crazy when the cheaper alternative is just to buy another rifle from another maker, but that's kind of where you are.

Yeah, think I'd be looking at buying the young lady a different rifle, depending on how much future growth was expected from the granddaughter. If she's potentially close to what might be expected for adult height and build, a new stock would be a decent longer term investment. If her parents are both 6'2" tall, maybe the new stock won't last long.

This one shoots really well and she likes it. Wish I could find another Fieldcraft short action stock to cut off. I kinda want to keep this one original as it is hard to find. I shoot it as well. Might just cut it off at 13.5" lop and call it good.

That's an idea. Neither AG Composites or Barrett could give me any help.

NECG offers a pad that can readily (no tools) be swapped for different LOP's. My custom 358 Win pre-64 M70 has one.
