WE were down south in the Brooks area for our annual pheasant hunt, with two new dogs in the team.
A young 7 1/2 month Small Munsterlnder ( Rigby) , and an 8 year old Springer Spaniel, Hunter, who we had the great fortune to rehome!
It took one bird for the little one to figure out what was what, regular retrieving and a bit of hobbled chuker practice really paid off!.We kept them seperated for a few days to make sure Hunter did not mess up Rigby as he was learning the the hang of the point and hold.
The last day we ran them together and it was epic for sure! Rigby held every pint and Hunter would charge in and flush!
These two are going to be great together.

Thanks for the comments guys, and ye it is always fun getting south for our annual. It just so happens to normally coincide with my son's birthday.
The muzzle loader was given to him by me on his 21st birthday by his dearly departed Grand dad, at his request we found in a letter when goinf through his estate after his passing .
He used it on his first trip south with me, and he has killed birds using it at least once every trip down. This was his 34th birthday!
This was taken on our second day out, he was using his Beretta 20 gauge 686 Silver Pigeon C that day, also a gift from when he was place in the chair of King Salomon ( those that know, know!)
