The House Republicans voted for a new Speaker candidate on Tuesday. The Republicans started with eight candidates this morning and after several rounds of secret ballots, it came down to two Republicans. Rep. Tom Emmer (R-MN) Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA)
Tom Emmer wants to change the US Constitution to eliminate the Electoral College and let the popular vote and radical left blue states choose the US President.
Tom Emmer reportedly worked against Trump candidates in the 2022 election.
GOP voters overwhelmingly supported Jim Jordan for Speaker but the caucus voted Jordan out on Friday.
He hasn't been elected yet - he's selected as the Republican nominee for Speaker. It will now have to go the actual election and the full House will vote. But still not good news.

This is what can happen with a razor thin majority. GOP gave it all away years ago by watering down their conservative values and alienating their base.

I highly doubt that scenario, it's up to the Majority caucus to vote their own leader into position....the Dems will continue to vote straight Dem at 212 votes.
